A Taste of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Progressive Dinner

Strawberry Festival, Niagara on the Lake
A family event with everything 'strawberry' - see them make strawberry jam - strawberry shortcakes, crepes, pies, milkshakes and ice creme cones, barbeque and corn on the cob, fresh strawberries for sale, silent auction, accessories, used books, bake table, plants, along with a children's area. Entertainment all day long, featuring the Frankie Phelan Five.

2:00 p.m. : Outside of Fort George - The Governor General Horse Guards Military Cavalry will perform a Musical Ride - Fife and Drum Corps Performance.

10:00 a.m.: Outside of Fort George - The Governor General House Guards Military Cavalry will perform a Musical Ride, Fife and Drum Corp Performance.
7:00 p.m. : At Fort George - "Symphony at the Fort" - Join the Niagara Symphony Orchestra for an evening concert within the grounds of historic Fort George followed by Fireworks.
9:45 p.m. : Along the border - Church Bells will ring along the entire length of the Niagara River as a signal to the start of the War of 1812 Bicentennial events!
July 18- Bicentennial Grand Opening Celebration!

The Navy of 1812 - Sailors on the Lakes
Naval encampment on the grounds of Navy Hall, Niagara-on-the-Lake, with 5 tall ships (4 Brigantines and a schooner-1812 Squadron) and 22 longboats with 200 naval re-enactors. Plans call for a Longboat Processional Row on Saturday morning and an Assualt landing exercise during the afternoon at Queens Royal Park featuring Defence Force marines and a "sham battle". Including theatrical performances by the Loyalist Theatre. "The Sailor`s World in 1812" encampment features period music of "Gin Lane" and dancing demonstrations by the Fort York Regency Dancers. This is a Parks Canada/Royal Canadian Navy partnered event.
