Niagara Falls - perhaps, best known as one of the natural wonders of the world. Niagara Falls consists of two waterfalls situated on the Niagara River (which forms the border between the Province of Ontario in Canada and New York State in America). The Canadian Horseshoe Falls is 170 feet or 52 meters high and is 2,500 feet or 750 meters wide. The American Falls is 180 feet or 55 meters high and 1,100 feet or 330 meters across.

It is estimated that 12,000 years ago, immediately following the end of the last ice age, when the falls were formed, the edge of the falls was as much as seven miles further down river than it is today.

Niagara Falls is also known as the "honeymoon capital" of the world. This small city, receives over 20 million visitors a year. The city of Niagara Falls, is famous for the many tourist attractions - Maid of the Mist boat cruise, the Skylon Tower, the Journey Behind The Falls, The Minolta Tower, numerous Horticultural and Botanical gardens, Niagara Casino, Marineland and Game Farm, Believe it or Not Museum and many more attractions.

The drive along the Niagara Parkway from Niagara Falls to Niagara-on-the-Lake has many attractions - Niagara Gorge, the lower Rapids, Niagara Whirlpools, Spanish Aero Car, Floral Clock, the Butterfly Conservatory, the largest hydro-electric power plants in the world.

There is something for every age group to enjoy. Come visit the mighty Niagara Falls and experience the awesome sound of the thundering water.
